Building our House

Well, most of you already know that we are building a new house. These are pictures of our lot and the start of our footings. We poured the rest last Friday and are starting the walls in the basement. Every step takes twice as long as I think it should. Jason has been so amazing-- especially putting up with his pregnant wife... He is such a hard worker and is out there every night and all day on Saturday's. He really amazes me!! I do what I can to help which usually isn't much. The kids have fun playing in the dirt and getting sooooo dirty!! Kate will even lay down and swim in it. I have to strip off their clothes and have them ride home in their underwear so my car doesn't get crazy dirty. Karson has just gotten some of his own tools and is getting really good with his own little hammer. I'm sure he'll love to try and help Daddy once we start framing.

Matching Ties

My mom made matching ties for the boys for Father's Day!! They looked so cute!! Karson loved being dressed like Daddy. Kate of course had to be in the picture too. We had a great Father's Day and are so grateful for our Dad's and all they do for us. I am grateful for Jason and the amazing Daddy and he is. The kids look up to him and love him so much.

T-ball!!

Karson is playing T-ball this year!! He is so cute!! He is really getting the hang of things--running bases, hitting, and pretending to be the pitcher. He has a lot of fun! We have a good time going to his games as a family-- except that the last few have been freezing! Watching him play really reminds me just how little he still is. I think it's so easy to think our oldest is so "big" when really they're still so cute and little.

A weekend in Colorado

We went to Colorado for the weekend!! Lindsey (My best friend from high school) and her hubby and little boy live there-- and there was a CAKE concert (Jason's motivation to go...). Linds and I are both pregnant and due 6 weeks apart and we are both having girls!! I think everyone I know who is pregnant right now is having a girl!! It was so good to see her after 2 1/2 years and to finally meet her sweet little Kolby!!
Kolby, Kate, and Karson having fun in the red wagon-- it was so beautiful there-- it actually felt like summer, unlike ID so far this year!!
Swimming!! The kids had so much fun swimming in the little whale pool!!
