Well, most of you already know that we are building a new house. These are pictures of our lot and the start of our footings. We poured the rest last Friday and are starting the walls in the basement. Every step takes twice as long as I think it should. Jason has been so amazing-- especially putting up with his pregnant wife... He is such a hard worker and is out there every night and all day on Saturday's. He really amazes me!! I do what I can to help which usually isn't much. The kids have fun playing in the dirt and getting sooooo dirty!! Kate will even lay down and swim in it. I have to strip off their clothes and have them ride home in their underwear so my car doesn't get crazy dirty. Karson has just gotten some of his own tools and is getting really good with his own little hammer. I'm sure he'll love to try and help Daddy once we start framing.

How exciting! Have you sold your old house yet? You are right by the water...that's the best part!
OOhhh! How exciting and daunting... all at the same time! I think you two are very brave. After watching my in-laws build their house (and now continue watching them build... over 1 year after they have moved in) I have vowed never to build myself... Ughh.. You are brave!! Good luck! It's looking good! I'm sure it's a lot of work, but Jason is so great with things like that!
