House. Hair. Happy Endings

Our house is really starting to come along. We have Sheetrock and are working on trim and other finishes. This is a picture of one of the fireplaces-- yes, we are going to paint the walls a different color besides white
The tin ceiling. A local entrepreneur was remodeling a building downtown-- it had these beautiful ceiling tiles in it from the early 1900's . They were unable to use them because many were badly damaged, so Jason got permission and went and tore them down-- it took him forever--like 18 hours or something. He worked all afternoon and util 3:00 in the morning. That was a couple months ago. Recently Jason rehung them in our new house, in the kitchen-- this took even longer--like every night for an entire week and all day Saturday, but they are beautiful. I think we are going to spray them with a heavy primer and then paint them their original bronze color. I think they are so neat and will give the house so much character-- yes, I am married to an amazing man who likes to make beautiful things!!
Garage doors-- this picture is for my sister who really wanted to see our new garage doors. They are kind of like the carriage style, but more simple and much cheaper!! I think they turned out cute-oh, and no our house is not going to be beige and gray-- that's primer :0)!!
Karson got a haircut the other day and they put yellow gel in it and spiked it into a fohawk. He looked so cute!!

Happy Endings--- and for the happy endings!! I finished my masters defense last Tuesday and it went really well-- it's was a huge emotional rollercoaster that I am so glad is over and to make it even better it ended well. My entire committe wants me to pursue publication and my study was just presented at the AAPPHERD conference (it's a big thing for health professionals) in Tampa, FL and was really well received-- yeah!! The other happy thing is I only have 4 more weeks of my online class and then I'm totally done with my masters!! Yeah again!!
