Camping

We went on our first camping trip of the year this weekend. It was totally spontaneous. Jason was going to take Karson fishing or camping because we both thought he'd be devastated with the news of having another sister. Kate didn't quite think that it seemed fair that only Karson and Jason got to go, Jason agreed. Then they talked me into going up for tinfoil dinners and s'mores--I can never resist s'mores, but didn't really feel like staying the night. The kids had so much fun!! I did too-- even though I left at 8:30, so I could go to a girls night out and sleep in my own bed. I was surprisingly sad to leave and am looking forward to our next camping trip.

Karson was catching water skippers!

Keeping with Tradition

The verdict is in, and we are keeping with tradition and having 3 girls and a boy. This will be the 4th generation on my mom's side of having 3 girls and a boy. I was the only one that would be able to keep this going, so I guess I should feel privileged :0)! I think I knew going in a little, but talked my self in to thinking it might be a boy for Karson's sake, and it would have been fun to mix things up. But, there are sooooo many girls born in the Jones family-- it just seems to be how we do things :0)!! We are all very excited about our little addition. I already feel closer to her and more excited about this pregnancy. Karson is even OK with things--plus he gets to go on a little one on one fishing trip with his daddy!

Boy or Girl????

Friday is the big day!! We have our ultrasound and will hopefully find out what we are having. I don't have a clue. Sometimes I think it's a boy because this pregnancy has been different than with the girls, but I think they all are. Other times, I think it's a girl. I call the sweet thing a girl all the time-- I guess that's probably because I haven't been pregnant with a boy for almost 7 years! So, what do you all think?

Singin' and Dancin'

Kate had a ballet recital last Saturday. She danced to "Let's Go Fly a Kite." She was such a beautiful ballerina. She loves everything about ballet!!! She is soooo girl, and we love it!!! This recital was super special because she got a medal at the end!! I tried to upload a video of her cute dance, but couldn't get it to work. Does anyone have any advice for uploading videos?
Karson had his kindergarten "Spring Sing" last Friday!! He was so cute. They sang tons of songs they'd learned throughout the school year! I can't believe the year is almost over and my little boy is going to be all done with Kindergarten!! They only have 2 weeks left of school. Karson is not excited though--he loves school. Mostly the social aspect. He loves seeing all his friends every day.

The Rumors are True...

Baby number 4 will make it's debut.
November 5th is the day he/she is due!!!

We're expecting!!! I am currently 14 weeks along. And, just in case you were wondering (because it seems like everyone asks :0)) this was planned!! We are very excited for our little bundle of joy to arrive and complete (yes, that's right) our family!! Karson is hoping for a boy, he says every day, "oh mom I just hope it's a boy.'' I hope so too, for his sake. I think he will have a little crying fest if it's a girl. Kate doesn't really care, but reminds me every day that my belly is in fact getting fat!! Gotta love kids honesty!!

Let's go fly a kite!!!

The wind has not stopped blowing for a few weeks now-- we are so sick of it. The other day we went to the store and bought two cheap little kites. On Sunday after a good nap and a yummy dinner (yes, it was a wonderful day!) we walked down by the river to fly them. It was so much fun and for the first time in weeks I actually enjoyed the wind. Here is Claire with the Barbie Kite she is getting so big and funny!!

Jason showing Kate how it's done!
Karson was quite the kite flying pro!!
Kate and Rudy! That's our house in the background-- still needs a nice coat of paint and the deck finished.

Happy Easter--super late!!

We had a wonderful Easter this year--it got off to a crazy start. Jason and I decided to go down to UT for his mission reunion. We left town about 4:00pm drove to the reunion, went to dinner with some friends, and turned around to drive home. We hit the worst snow storm EVER in Ogden and decided to stay for a few hours in Tremonton. By this time it was midnight--we checked into a hotel--slept for 4 hours and woke up and SLOWLY drove into Burley. Luckily the kids were over with Chad and Bonnie, so they stayed the night there.

Saturday morning we went to a fun Easter Breakfast with Chad and Bonnie's ward. It was freezing, so we hunted eggs inside-- the kids had fun though!! We spent the rest of the day watching General Conference-- it was so wonderful!! Sunday we opened Easter baskets, ate a yummy Easter breakfast, watched Conference and headed over to Chad and Bonnie's for dinner, more Conference, and our annual Easter egg scavenger hunt and egg hunt--- so fun!!! I made the girls Easter dresses this year and matching ones for their babies--it was a lot of fun!
The best picture of all 3 kiddos-- so funny they will never all look at the camera at once!
Cute Kate!!!
Claire hunting for eggs--she was so funny walking around finding the "balls."
