Day 3 in California

We started out the day by driving into LA-soooooooo much traftic--to the American Girl doll store.  The girls and I had sooooooo much fun looking at all the dolls and dreaming of all the things they wanted.  I had fun going back and doing a little Christmas shopping--oh how I do love American Girl!
We spent the afternoon at the beach.  The kids had so much fun in the sand and water.  We came very unprepared thinking that the kids would be content on the sand and walking down the pier. We were wrong--they were all soaked.  I should say we were all soaked.  I bent down to take a picture of Lia just as a big wave came.  Karson and Kate loved it the most.   I think we could take a vacation just to the beach and they would be perfectly happy!

Disney Land Day 2

We headed back to Disney land on Tuesday morning to ride some of the rides we missed on Monday.  We took a little ride on the Jungle Cruise.

 Had fun meeting Disney Characters!

Later in the Afternoon we headed over to California adventure to check out the kiddy rides.

That night we watched the fireworks at Disney land--they were set to Christmas music and were amazing!  The kids were exhausted though because of the late night on Monday.  Karson climbed in the back of the stroller and slept through the fireworks and all of the kids except Claire fell asleep on the walk back to the condo--thank goodness for awesome double strollers and strong daddy's!

Disney Land Day 1

Chad and Bonnie, my amazing in-laws,  took the family to Disney Land for Thanksgiving---it was sooooo fun!!!! I loved everything about it, and we made so many fun memories with our children that I will treasure!
Abby, Kiley, and I took the girls to a princess breakfast at Aerial's Grotto in California Adventure.  We ate a super yummy breakfast and got to meet Aerial, Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Belle.  The Royal Page announced the princesses and then they toured around the room--it was every little girl's dream come true and the girls ate it up!

Belle was our favorite!  She was sooo sweet with the girls.  Kate fell and bonked her head at one point and belle held and comforted her until she felt better--what better than to be comforted by a real princess!
Kate and Cinderella--so fun.  One of the highlights was when all the girls got to spin with Cinderella!!! It was worth every penny and a memory my girls and I will treasure!
The Teacups!!! Everyone loved them including Lia--even when Jason spun the tea cup as fast as he could!

Karson and Kate on Indiana Jones--the first time they hated it!  The second they loved it--well Karson did I think it was because he actually opened his eyes--the first time he kept them closed the entire time--to funny!

A little Splash Mountain!!! This was a definite kid favorite!!!

That night after we went back to the condo and ate dinner.  Jason and I put the babies to bed and brought Karson and Kate back to the park.  We had so much fun with our older two--I think 5 and 8 are the perfect ages for Disney! .  Riding Soarin' and The tower of Terror in California Adventure and the Matterhorn in Disney Land.  The kids were rarin' to go until midnight and we let them stay!

Lia is 1!

My baby turned 1 on November 1st!!! She is such a sweet thing and entertains us all.  The older kids love to play with her and make her laugh.  Some of my favorite things about Lia:
*The way she says "Gooly Gooly Goo" when she is happy
    *Her sweet hugs and kisses
*She is a mover and a shaker and can climb out of or into anything
    *Her chubby little thighs

Lia's one year stats--29 inches long and 19 lbs!
I am way behind blogging, but wanted to journal about our Halloween. The girls were witches and a little black cat, and Karson was a Lego. We had a great time partying at Grandma and Grandpa's on Sunday after church. On Halloween we carved pumpkins and then went Trick-or-treating to family members and our neighborhood.

Birthdays and A Baptism!!

Jason turned 32 on Sept. 12th!!! I made him his favorite--Cherry Pie!
My birthday was on Sept. 23rd. The kids and Jason made me this super cute poster with some of my favorite candy bars--loved it!!!

My sweet Karson turned 8 on Oct. 1st!!! I can't quite believe it!! He is such a fun boy and so good with his sisters. Karson also played flag football this year and loved it--Jason was his coach which made it extra fun!
I made Kars a football cake for his friend birthday party!
The story of the Wii--Karson really wanted a lizard for his birthday. Jason and I did our research on the most kid friendly lizard. Shopped around on Craigslist and KSL, but could not find the "perfect" one and a way to get it. The day before Karson's birthday my mom and I went to Twin, we were in the pet store looking at lizards, cages, and finding out just how much "fun" it would be to take care of a lizard. I was still on board, but called Jason and discussed the whole thing, so he looked online again for that perfect lizard, after awhile he said, "Jenn, why don't we just get him a Wii, it'd be so much easier than a lizard--I immediately agreed--so Karson got his Wii. He was very excited. He'd been saving up all summer to buy one and had quite a bit saved, so he was able to put his money towards a super fun hunting game. Now he thinks he wants a lizard for Christmas... we'll see...
Between General Conference sessions on Saturday we took Karson out for a yummy birthday lunch and the most amazing dessert!
Karson and all his friends at his birthday party--such cute boys!

Karson was baptized by his daddy on October 8th!!! It was such a neat experience. I love my boys sooooo much!!! It's hard for me to believe my baby boy is baptized!!! I feel so blessed to have the amazing Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I love watching my children learn and grow in the Gospel. Karson had been so excited for this special day and was so cute and attentive as he was taught before hand about baptism and receiving the Holy Spirit. I am so proud of my cute boy and his desires to follow Christ and his example! Karson and his favorite cousin Hayden!
Doesn't Karson look so handsome and grown up in his new suit!
Claire turned 3 on Oct. 14th!! The night before we were talking as I tucked he into bed. She said, "mom I want my ears pierced. I want earrings". I talked to her about getting some fun play princess earrings. She said, "No Mom, I want holes in my ears like you." I explained to her that it stung and that she'd have to be careful with them and take good care of them. She went to sleep and I thought maybe she'd forget about it over night, but all she could talk about the next day was how she wanted her ears pierced for her birthday, so we did it--it was her birthday and kids should get what they want for her birthday--right!!! She and Kate got their ears pierced and did so well. Kate told Claire that she could go first since it was her birthday--Yes, Kate is way to smart sometimes. Claire sat on the chair like a champ, cried a little when they pierced her first ear and really didn't want the next one done, but was so brave and stopped crying as soon as they gave her a sucker--I must say I think she looks sooo cute with her earrings! Kate had a little harder time. I had tried to convince her to pierce hers for back-to-school with no success, but she couldn't let her baby sis get hers pierced with out getting hers done too. She cried before, during, but after she said, "oh mom that was not so bad" too funny!!
I made Claire a Strawberry Shortcake cake!!
