First Day of School and The chair

Karson had his first day of 1st grade on Monday!! He is getting so big! In good old Idaho we start full days of school in first grade--this has been quite the adjustment for me. I miss my big boy-- he is such a good helper and is so fun to have around. The good thing is, he is loving school. The girls and I just miss him.
So, I bought this fabric about a year ago... loved it... thought I would try my hand at upholstery. That lasted about a week-- working for hours on end and accomplishing nothing. That chair still sits in our basement. Jason found this little chair at a thrift store and we took it to our favorite upholstery shop and got it professionally redone. I love how it turned out. The pictures don't do it justice all the little details on it are sooo cute.
Here's another pic. with the arm and back covers on.-- I can't decide which way I like it better.

Just had to include this one. Karson and his little buddy-- these two are so cute together!

Fair, Fishing, Fun!!!

It's that time of year again... when we pretend to be cowboys and cowgirls and have a blast at the county fair and rodeo!!! Karson loves it. I think if he had his way he would be a "real" cowboy! I do think he looks oh so cute in his cowboy hat...
The three kids at the fair!!!
The parade!!! We were lucky this year to have all the little Jones cousins together for the parade!!
And here are the future Jones cousins-- all girls again!!!! Abby was due Friday and we're praying she'll have her little one any day. Kiley is due in Sept. and I'm aiming for the end of Oct!!!
A few weeks ago we went to Boise and toured the capital building with my mom, dad, and sister. It was a lot of fun!!! Karson and Kate are pretending to run the state in the Senate chambers.
Karson and Jason went fishing at the Jones family outing and unfortunatly it was the only pictures that we took. I'll have to steal some from other people. Karson loves to go fishing with his dad. They woke up at 4 am, hiked a few miles to a lake and fished for 4 hours and then hiked back and he loved it all. He's getting to be quite the little adventure man.

House and swimming

So, my sister has been bugging me for the past year about not posting many pics of my house, so these are mostly for her and anyone else who chooses to look at them ;0)!! Here is Kate's room. I recently painted the walls pink and finished her quilt. I still want to add more accents and am working on curtains. Jason is painting the end tables and some little benches for the end of her bed black. I'll post another pic when that's all done.
The hallway going upstairs.
The front room-- this room was really hard to photograph...

Summer Fun!!!

We've had a wonderful summer!!! I just realized that I posted these pictures in the wrong order-- oh well. Here's a little recap of our summer fun. My mom and dad visited us for almost three weeks-- they brought their house with them, and we had so much fun hanging out every day. These pics are from a little picnic at Lake Cleveland last Sat.

My mom and I went and got pedicures for the first time (both of ours-- can you believe it?)!! It was glorious!!! I've decided it is definitely my new favorite pampering thing. Don't look at this picture too long it is sooooo unflattering--I look like an elephant :0)! My mom sure looks cute though, so I had to post it!
Cute little Claire Bear! The kids have had a blast running in the sprinklers and playing on the slip and slide-- thanks to our wonderful new grass!!! We put in a sprinkler system in the front yard this spring and planted sod last month-- it is heavenly!!
Claire loved the fireworks this year!!! Grandma and Grandpa Jones put on a wonderful show--like always!!!
Freezing at the 4th of July breakfast!! The pancakes were still delightful though!!
Karson played T-ball again this year-- he loved it and was very fast!!! Next year he gets to play pitching machine!
We met some wonderful friends in UT and went to the zoo-- it was sooo fun!!
Karson and Caleb! These two were each other's first little friends!
And last, but of course NOT least is the TRABI!!!!! Jason got one of his Trabi's running!! We drive it to church every Sunday-- it is so fun, and so loud, and so tiny!! I just love watching Jason drive it makes him so giddy!!!

Camping

We went on our first camping trip of the year this weekend. It was totally spontaneous. Jason was going to take Karson fishing or camping because we both thought he'd be devastated with the news of having another sister. Kate didn't quite think that it seemed fair that only Karson and Jason got to go, Jason agreed. Then they talked me into going up for tinfoil dinners and s'mores--I can never resist s'mores, but didn't really feel like staying the night. The kids had so much fun!! I did too-- even though I left at 8:30, so I could go to a girls night out and sleep in my own bed. I was surprisingly sad to leave and am looking forward to our next camping trip.

Karson was catching water skippers!

Keeping with Tradition

The verdict is in, and we are keeping with tradition and having 3 girls and a boy. This will be the 4th generation on my mom's side of having 3 girls and a boy. I was the only one that would be able to keep this going, so I guess I should feel privileged :0)! I think I knew going in a little, but talked my self in to thinking it might be a boy for Karson's sake, and it would have been fun to mix things up. But, there are sooooo many girls born in the Jones family-- it just seems to be how we do things :0)!! We are all very excited about our little addition. I already feel closer to her and more excited about this pregnancy. Karson is even OK with things--plus he gets to go on a little one on one fishing trip with his daddy!

Boy or Girl????

Friday is the big day!! We have our ultrasound and will hopefully find out what we are having. I don't have a clue. Sometimes I think it's a boy because this pregnancy has been different than with the girls, but I think they all are. Other times, I think it's a girl. I call the sweet thing a girl all the time-- I guess that's probably because I haven't been pregnant with a boy for almost 7 years! So, what do you all think?
