Random February thoughts--in March!

Our latest addition!!! Exercise equipment!! Jason made a New Years resolution to buy exercise equipment--that's right buy it, not use it--he said he wanted to make sure his goal was attainable--so funny. Well, we now have a nice little home gym and the best part is we got it all on craiglist for a great price. Just ignore my dirty unfinished basement :0)! We both exercised this morning, so I guess he's decided to use it after all.

So, I officially have the cutest husband in the world!!! He has been amazing since I had Lia!! Not that hasn't always been amazing, but he has gone above and beyond the call of duty lately!! I was having a hard week (four kids has definitely rocked my world :0)). So, Thursday night he came home and said let's find a babysitter and go to dinner. So we did, and ate the most amazingly yummy trout at Stevo's!! It was just what I needed!!! Then on Friday after work and dinner Jason ran to the store for me. When he came home he was fiddling around in the kitchen, I asked what he was up to and he replied all mater of fact, "I'm having a tea party with Kate." I don't know who's idea it was Kate's or Jason's, but they had a blast making sugar plum fairy herbal tea and serving it with Kate's real tea set. The girls got all dressed up for the event--so cute!!! I especially love that Jason sat at Kate's little table to enjoy their tea!

I tried to take some pictures of the kids to give to Jason for Valentine's day--this was one of the best--February is not the best time for photo shoots I decided!
Lia and her first food--her face says just how much she enjoyed it!
Kate forgot her Sunday shoes for my cousins wedding, so she sported her red rain boots with her dress--I think she looked pretty cute though!
I just had to include this one of Claire--doesn't she have the most beautiful eyes?!

Silly Girls

Claire is sooo funny lately. She LOVES getting her picture taken. The other day she and I had this little photo shoot. Her other love is tutus--she is wearing 2 here, and you have to love her crazy hair!!
Such a ham!!!

Little miss Lia is getting so cute these days!! She is 3 months old. Loves to smile and "talk," hates to eat and sleep, and is the light of our lives. The kids adore her.

Happy Birthday Kate!

Kate is 5!!! The first thing she said when she woke up on her birthday was, "I'm 5!!!" with all the Kate zest and enthusiasm you can imagine!! I think there's something empowering to kids about turning 5--it's like they're no longer a little kid!
Kate got her very first American Girl doll for her b-day. We were going to wait until she was a little older, but she has been so good and responsible lately that we decided to go for it. She didn't have a friend party this year, so we thought it was a good time for a special gift!!! She was so funny when she opened the box. She looked inside totally puzzled and said, "an American Girl doll?" (I had told her that she probably wouldn't get one until she was at least 6. She's been begging for one for awhile now.) I laughed and said that it wasn't quite the reaction I'd hoped for, but at this time she realized that it was all for real and got super excited--even hugging the box--so funny!!
Grandma Bonnie picked out these cute matching jammies for Kate--she loves them and I must say they do look oh, so cute!!

When we decided to get the doll for Kate. I started sewing--it's just too fun!!! Jason makes fun of me because I was so excited--so, I admit going to the AG store in Chicago ruined me--it was like little girl heaven, and I fell in love with it all!!! I made this matching outfit for Kate and her doll.
I also made a hoodie sweatshirt, matching t-shirts, jeans, and a dress/sweater set--it was so fun!!

Skiing, Claire, and Computers

"Oh, Claire Bear!!" She is such a sweet little thing!!! Yesterday I flat ironed her hair and told her she looked cute. She then said, "Take a picture of me!!" It's her new thing lately whenever we say she's cute--which is quite often, since I think she is about the cutest thing in the world. She really is such a good little girl, especially considering she is two!
Karson has become quite the little skier this year!! Jason and him have season passes and have been up on the mountain quite a few times. Karson is doing so well!! He's mastered the ski lift, been down some fairly difficult runs, and even took off his "wedgie" last time he went-- I think his little legs are starting to get stronger.
Jason took Kate skiing too. She made it down one run in 45 minutes; cried the whole time; almost hit a tree, which she was very concerned about since she had an allergic skin reaction to our Christmas tree. I guess as she was heading towards the tree she was yelling, "I can't hit the tree, I'm allergic to Christmas trees!!--Classic Kate :0)!! But, after it was all said and done she "loved it" and can't wait to go again!!! I love this picture of Kate and Jason on the ski lift. Jason made her a seatbelt with his ski pole, Kate was very pleased with this and told me all about it-- it was her first time on a lift-- last year they didn't venture off the bunny hill.

Our laptop's motherboard went out. Jason decided to try to fix it. We had pictures and my thesis on it. He bought a new motherboard online, and set to work--watching U tube videos to teach him how. The process was a success-- I was so impressed with Jason's skills!!! He had talked to a few computer guys and both of them said that they had never replaced a motherboard, but Jason is just amazing with things like that!! We were able to get all the pictures and stuff off the computer that we wanted, and it only cost $45 instead of 3 or 4 hundred! The computer still had problems overheating, so we bought a new computer with our Christmas money--thanks Mom and Dad and Grandma H!!!

Lia's blessing

Lia was given a beautiful blessing by her daddy on Sunday!!! She is such a sweet baby!!! She is happy most of the time and smiles and coos at us often. We love her so much! My mom made her blessing dress--I love it! She looked so beautiful all dressed in white!

This picture didn't flip around, but I wanted one that showed her entire dress.
The family!! Oh how I love my family!!!!! I seriously am sooooo blessed to be married to an amazing man and have 4 beauitful children!!!

Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas this year!!! I totally posted these pics in backwards order--oh well!! I'm so late posting about Christmas because our computer is broken. Our kids were at such fun ages this year and it was so fun to have our sweet little Lia!!! Here she is with all her loot!!
Kate with all her gifts--she asked Santa for a table and chairs!
Karson and his new bike!!
The Christmas tree on Christmas Eve after Santa came!!
Santa came to the Jones house!!
Christmas eve= new jammies!!

We opened presents with Jason's fam on Christmas eve-- all the girls got dress-up outfits-- too cute!!
We acted out the nativity!! Jason and I were Mary and Joseph since we had the youngest baby. Karson was a shepherd and Kate and Claire were Wisemen! It is a tradition I love so much!
The whole Nativity!
Right before Christmas we went and visited my cute grandma--here she is with little miss Lia!
And Claire... Claire loves my grandma to read to her!
While in Boise we visited Santa in the mall. We waited in line for an hour, but I guess by the kids faces it was worth it!

My friend Angela recently took pictures of Lia!! She gave me a sneak peek by emailing me this one and I had to share-- Isn't she sooo precious!
I decided to make stockings this year. I saw some like this in Better Homes and Gardens and decided to give it a try. They're made with sweaters, cute flannel, and felt. They looked like they'd be so fun and easy. I love how they turned out, but they were soo not easy-- they took forever!

One of our favorite traditions is going into the mountains and getting our Christmas tree it's so beautiful up there and I love the fresh pine in my home!!
